History of Sydney Tower

The tower was opened to the public in 1981 and is called one of the safest buildings in the world. The design is built to withstand earthquakes and natural phenomena even at this height. The architecture of Sydney Tower is interesting and has been developed with years of hard work. The turret structure was developed for all floors together at the ground and later lifted above to set floors.

If you are wondering what the logo at the top of The Sydney Tower says, the illuminated logo says ‘Westfield,’ which has been named after the Westfield shopping center since 2011. Also, the observation deck on the top floor was renamed the Sydney Tower Eye in the same year. The tower is developing with new technological advancements and bringing new changes like the automatic cleaning machine named ‘Charlie’ that cleans the 420 windows of the tower.
