Theme Parks

Disneyland Paris consists of two main theme parks:

  • Disneyland Park: This park is similar in design to the original Disneyland in California and the Magic Kingdom in Florida. It is divided into five themed lands: Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, and Discoveryland.
  • Walt Disney Studios Park: Opened in 2002, this park is dedicated to the world of cinema and animation. It features attractions and shows related to Disney and Pixar films.

Marvel’s enchantment takes center stage at Disneyland Paris with the debut of the Avengers Campus

On July 9, a grand spectacle unfolded as over 1,200 esteemed guests and journalists gathered for the official inauguration of Avengers Campus, the dazzling new addition to Disneyland Paris dedicated to the Marvel universe. Among the luminaries in attendance were Disney CEO Bob Chapek, Disneyland Paris President Natacha Rafalski, and the radiant “Captain Marvel” star, Brie Larson. Together, they unveiled the captivating new themed area, eagerly anticipated to welcome visitors starting July 20. Adding to the excitement were the iconic figures of Iron Man, Spider-Man, Captain America, and Captain Marvel, all gathered on the Quinjet platform, the Avengers’ remarkable aircraft, which served as the epicenter of the Campus.

The ceremony reached its zenith with a breathtaking display of drones and fireworks, illuminating the Campus, all orchestrated remotely by the enigmatic Doctor Strange.

Marvel Avengers Campus is a visionary concept, a universe ingeniously devised by Tony Stark (aka Iron Man), intended for the discovery, recruitment, and training of the next generation of Marvel superheroes. Within this extraordinary domain, the collaborative efforts of Walt Disney Imagineering, both in Paris and across the globe, melded seamlessly with the teams responsible for bringing The Avengers films, TV series, and comics to life. Together, they have conjured a new realm within the vast Marvel multiverse, inviting visitors to unearth their own inner superhero. Notably, this monumental undertaking enlisted the dedicated craftsmanship of over 2,700 construction workers and the expertise of 8,000 professionals from various fields, all contributing to the realization of this remarkable project.

Marvel and Pixar’s enchanting flavors infuse Disneyland Paris, from the delectable elegance of Ratatouille to the towering delights of Pym Burgers

Disney theme parks are universally recognized as portals to a realm of enchantment right here on Earth, where every facet is meticulously crafted. From Mickey Mouse’s iconic ears adorning garden fence posts to sculptures of beloved characters gracing even the most secluded nooks, and, of course, each thematic zone and attraction whisking visitors away into a dreamlike dimension – from Alice’s Labyrinth to the vibrant universe of Toy Story, and now, the headquarters of The Avengers.

Yet, what remains lesser known to many is that this magic extends its enchanting touch to the culinary realm. How could it be otherwise when food takes on such a pivotal role in numerous Disney films? As Lumiere, the charismatic candelabra, croons in the timeless Beauty and the Beast, ‘What a feast, what a feast, a banquet. There’s the napkin, the bustle begins.’ His melodic words could effortlessly serve as the soundtrack to the Plaza Gardens Restaurant, one of the park’s delightful buffet options. ‘There’s ragu, there’s soufflé, and a tarte bien flambée… and then, like the attractions of a lavish cabaret, there’s more to savor.

This gastronomic wonderland is not Disney’s sole culinary spectacle. The grand and generous Genie from Aladdin showered the young Aladdin with an array of delectable delights, foreshadowing the opulent feasts that the Great Ali would someday indulge in: ‘You’ll eat better than the Sah, any delicacy, cous cous, what else? Maybe a little baklava.’ And indeed, this and much more await you at the Agrabah Café, an enchanting restaurant inspired by ancient Arab bazaars, boasting an extensive repertoire of Moroccan and Oriental cuisine.

Even the visionary Walt Disney himself, the founding father of this boundless realm of dreams, has lent his inspiration to a remarkable establishment: Walt’s – An American Restaurant. Nestled on Main Street, this restaurant comprises six distinctively themed rooms, each an ode to one of the six thematic domains of Disneyland Paris, while also serving as a heartfelt tribute to the creative genius behind Mickey Mouse and countless other beloved characters.
