The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the national tourism body, lists 2 offices in Bangkok: its head office on New Phetchaburi Road, which TAT names first among its tourist information centres, and the TAT Bangkok Office in Taling Chan. Both are listed below, and TAT also runs a call centre, Travel Buddy.
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, the city government, announced on 25 June 2026 that 16 tourist information kiosks across the city are ready to help visitors, with details on its Visit Bangkok site.

Public holidays can change opening hours in Bangkok: government offices close, and museums, markets and other attractions may close or switch to holiday hours. The Secretariat of the Cabinet lists 22 public holiday dates for 2026: the 19 annual holidays set by the Office of the Prime Minister, the extra holiday on 2 January approved by the Cabinet on 12 November 2024, and 2 substitute days, because Visakha Bucha Day falls on a Sunday and King Bhumibol's birthday on a Saturday. Banks follow the Bank of Thailand's own 2026 calendar, which adds National Labor Day on 1 May but does not include Royal Ploughing Ceremony Day on 13 May or Buddhist Lent Day on 30 July.

On 19 May 2026 the Cabinet declared 16 October 2026 a special public holiday in Bangkok only, to ease travel and security during the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group. The Bank of Thailand made it a holiday for banks in Bangkok too.
