The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, the governmental body founded by the Nevada Legislature in 1955 that acts as the official destination marketing organisation of Las Vegas, keeps no walk-in tourist information office of its own: its offices at 3150 Paradise Road sit inside the Las Vegas Convention Center. In person, at least 2 points run by other bodies help visitors: the Red Rock Canyon Visitor Center, 17 miles west of the Las Vegas Strip and run by the Bureau of Land Management, and the information booths at Harry Reid International Airport, run by the Clark County Department of Aviation.

Red Rock Canyon Visitor Center

Opening hours: every day 08:00 to 16:30; Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day 08:00 to 12:00
Not run by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority: it is run by the Bureau of Land Management, and a timed-entry reservation is needed from 1 October to 31 May.

National and local holidays in Las Vegas
On a public holiday, offices, museums and transport in Las Vegas may close or switch to holiday hours. Federal offices observe 11 federal holidays in 2026 and again in 2027; a holiday that falls on a Saturday is observed on the Friday before, and one that falls on a Sunday on the Monday after. Clark County observes 12 holidays in 2026: the federal days except Columbus Day on 12 October, plus Nevada Day on 30 October and Family Day on 27 November, the day after Thanksgiving. At Red Rock Canyon, the Visitor Center opens from 08:00 to 12:00 on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, and the Scenic Drive from 06:00 to 12:00 on those two days.
