Karnak Temple opens the one-day route in top things to visit in Luxor, which follows the east bank past Luxor Museum, the Mummification Museum and Luxor Temple before ending in the souk, all in a town that stands on the site of ancient Thebes.
The west bank has stops of its own, among them the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut's Temple and the Colossi of Memnon, and the guide also covers the cooler months from November to February, the walk along the Corniche and the bridge and the public ferry across the Nile.
