Tourist office Medellín
The Alcaldía de Medellín runs 3 tourist information points in the city through its Secretaría de Turismo y Entretenimiento: the PIT Plaza Botero in the centre, the PIT Pueblito Paisa on the Cerro Nutibara and the Centro de Turismo Inteligente in Parques del Río. All three open Monday to Saturday from 09:00 to 17:00.
Colombian and foreign visitors get free, specialised information there on the city's tourist products, places of interest and attractions. Up in Parque Arví, the park's own guides and tourist informers welcome visitors at the Cable Arví arrival plaza. Terminales Medellín's passenger desks at the Norte and Sur bus terminals also give tourist information.

Fernando Botero's 23 bronzes on Plaza Botero open the one-day route that Tourist Office traces through Medellín. From there it heads to the Museo de Antioquia, the Palacio de la Cultura Rafael Uribe Uribe, Parque de las Luces and Parque de los Pies Descalzos, then rides the Metro out to the murals and outdoor escalators of Comuna 13.
For longer stays, its guide to the things to see in Medellín adds Pueblito Paisa on the Cerro Nutibara, the Jardín Botánico, Parque Explora and the cable-car ride up to Parque Arví, with at least four days suggested for the city and a fifth for Guatapé and La Piedra del Peñol.
Keep the city and national holiday calendar in mind
On public holidays in Medellín, offices, museums and transport can close for the day or run on holiday hours. The PIT Plaza Botero, the PIT Pueblito Paisa and the Centro de Turismo Inteligente open Monday to Saturday, and no holiday hours are published for them. In Parque Arví, a Tuesday holiday moves the weekly maintenance closure to the next day.
Medellín follows Colombia's national calendar, which has 19 public holidays in each of 2026 and 2027. Easter Sunday, on 5 April 2026 and 28 March 2027, sets five of them: Maundy Thursday and Good Friday just before it, and three Mondays in May and June for Ascension Day, Corpus Christi and the Sacred Heart. Some fixed-date feasts, Saints Peter and Paul among them, are observed on the next Monday when the date is not a Monday, so 29 June stays put in 2026 but becomes 5 July in 2027. The Feria de las Flores, the city's flower festival, brings no public holiday with it.
