Fantastic trip. The bus ride is an experience in itself! Once you get to the path going up to Vesuvius it’s a pretty steep walk up, I struggled but I’m not that fit. My husband is a postman and used to lots of walking so he found it pretty easy. Well worth it ☺️
Highly recommend. The timeline is a bit tight for some to get up the mountain and down in the time allotted. Not for us as we also enjoyed a lovely glass of wine at the top!
Easy to book online. Very frienly staff who take you to meet the bus which arrived on time, both to take you to Vesuvius and to pick you up afterwards.
Amazing! V friendly - clean air conditioned bus - left and arrived back on time - took the stress out of visiting Vesuvius 😁

Excellent service and a great trip. Recommended for those who start Pompeii experience from main gate and end it at the Anfiteatro. Pick up to Vesuvius is nearby.
Easy to find guide for pick up, bus took us as far up as it could go and picked us up to go back,staff friendly and helpful ensured we got on the bus to get there and to get back.

Service exactly as described. Picked up from designated location, dropped off at Vesuvio spot 1km from top, 1 1/2 hour to hike to top and back.

I ordered the tickets online, and walked to the office the evening before, so I knew where I was going to join the tour the next day. I am waiting for a new hip, so I was very happy that they were able to pick me up across the street from my hotel, at Camping Spartacus. That really helped!
The drive up the volcano to the parking lot is a very winding road.
I thought we would be part of a guided tour, but we just walked up to the top of the volcano amongst all the other tourists. Many people were wearing their different tour company's stickers, different colours with different times on them.
It's a bit of a hike, but I managed. There is a place to buy a refreshment and sit down at the top. The views were great, both of the volcano and the gulf of Naples. We got loads of pictures and saw steam venting from within the cone. It was really interesting.
We had been told what time to meet back at the parking lot and kind of kept an eye on other people from our tour to gauge when to head back down. Once back in the parking lot we found others from our tour by the colour and time on their stickers.
It was a worthwhile excursion to see the famous volcano.

A ticket and a bus, efficiently done. Walking up the volcano was good but there is a lack of visitor information so maybe read up before you go.
Too hot… no trees or shade to be seen anywhere. Bring sunscreen and hat. The bus itself is good and on time

Exactly as described, I would have loved if there was more flexibility for the pickup- from a different area of the mountain or at a different time, it would have allowed for more exploration options. Note that this option does not include any guidance, just the transportation and entrance
Pickup was on time and everything was carefully explained to us. However, we were expecting a guide at the top of Mt Vesuvius but there wasn't one. Word of warning, the only toilet is in a shop/cafe and you have to buy something before using the toilet. The shop owner was very aggressive and the toilets were absolutely disgusting
Very convenient, but time on Vesuvius is limited to around 70min. A little more time would be pleasant
Very Average experience, buses are not great they are shuttle vans and management of going to Vesuvio is very stressful. Too many people trying to get onto shuttles, although they have too many shuttles going around we had to wait around for three buses as other passengers just pushed around.
Was a little disorganised. Staff condescending and rude. Bus departure was delayed. Not a great experience.
Pick up location was far away from metro and very inconvenient, the bus was incredibly hot (no AC) and the guide didn’t speak to the group once. Not worth it at all.
