It was an increditable experience. The castle grounds are stunning. The introduction by the guide was informative and funny setting the tone for the visit. The audio guide was very informative.
Good introduction by tour guide. St. Vitus cathedral is of course worth visiting but if you are tight on budget or time, you may skip the rest, nothing special.
The instructions we were sent were easy to follow. We found the guides right away. There was no waiting time. The introduction was useful and informative. The audioguide was also easy to follow and I prefer it because you can pause it and go at your own pace and are not obligated to follow a group. For less crowds i recommend going on a weekday after noon (we went at 14:00 and only the golden lane was crowded). I would recommend it.
Absolutely brilliant.
Excellent audioguide, easy purchase & pock up.
Well designed tour. Easy to follow audio guide. Satisfied
Really nice day at Prague castle worth the money was there six hours with a coffee break
Enjoyed our visit, guide gave us some great information and advice
The human guide gave a very helpful 15 minute overview of the area and some history. The mobile guide was really good and well written. I liked the GIFs to show where to go next. Loved being able to go at my own pace. Note that the St. Vitus Tower is a separate ticket but I highly recommend it. The view was amazing.
Interesting and comprehensive tour of the main attractions within the castle compound
Fantastic castle. Really impressive and lots to see
Audio guide stopped when taking a photo then had to start back from the beginning of the section so ended up reading it instead.
We found Dennis to be personable, organised and funny. His pre tour information was interesting and entertaining. It would have been more convenient to have received the audio before the tour so we could download using wifi. My download bombed out so i was unable to listen to the audio.
We had an excellent tour guide who gave us information about the cathedral, basilica and the old palace prior to our entry. I didn't get his name, but an intelligent young man who relayed the info in an interesting way.
The cathedral was crowded with tour groups; can't be helped, it's a popular place. We arrived at 10:30. Perhaps an earlier time would have been better. I read the info rather than listened to the audio guide. Very informative. Definitely worthwhile to visit these places!
The 15 min orientation is great - saving a lot of time.
the maps are excellent and helpful.
the mobile guide is very good as well
Everything was smooth sailing. I wish the audio guide for castle was a bit more Interesting and detailed. Also some audio stations were not available.
Despite a relatively early slot (10.30am) the castle complex was already HEAVING with people. In my opinion far too many tickets are SOLT for each time slot. Had to queue to get in and shuffle around a pre destined route. Beautiful cathedral though. The Golden Lane was unbearably busy and impossible to get into any of the houses. I think there is more interesting stuff to do on the castle side of the river than be herded through this.
A note about the audio guide, through get your guide it is on your phone. This was not made clear when booking, I was expecting a hand held separate device. Three out of four of us couldn’t access it due to not having roaming/a child not having a phone/one adult with very low battery so that felt like €80 totally wasted.
Hi there!
When we visited the Castle, the Palace was closed due to preparations for Independence Day, yet you charged FULL price for all sites, while you knew that at least one site will be closed!
That's not fair.
Hard to understand the guide and figure out the maps with commentary initially.
The introduction was too detailed while we had not seen anything yet.
Instructions online say to bring headphones but it doesn't say to bring Bluetooth headphones. We did not, we bought wired headphones thinking we were going to plug into an audio device given to us. It turned out the audio device is one you have to scan. Due to the poor internet service, we were only able to use one cell phone to scan, the other cell phone was on a different service and would not download the audio tour so that was a waste of money for that person. The instructions are not spelled out very well that this is an audio toy. You have to download on your cell phone and use Bluetooth headphones.
We reached the castle and tried looking for the white and blue umbrella, but to our disappointment, we couldn’t find the right person. There were other guides with same umbrella and not belonging to get your guide.
We had to run across looking for the guide to exchange the mobile tickets to a paper one. After 1 hour of looking finally we found the guide , it is a very bad experience. Inspite of following all the instructions, the process is a nightmare.
There were virtually no directions for ticket collection, how to use the poorly designed audioguide, or where to go once on the castle grounds. There were several other tourists complaining aloud about the experience. We chose to leave early because it was not worth the effort. Avoid this particular “tour”.
It is unbelievable to me how it is legal that companies can lack transparency in their terms and conditions, such as Tiqets. They have absolutely NO flexibility at all. It is supposed that the purchased tickets have 2 valid days to visit Prague Castle but, if for any emergency or circumstance you cannot arrive on time, there is NO ONE of the staff member to activate your ticket even if you arrive at the castle on the SAME DATE that you booked. ZERO FLEXIBILITY, ZERO USER FRIENDLY. Honestly, they should be fined or cancelled as a service.
There was no 20 minute introduction to anything, the whole thing is an AI voice and the churches had no reception so it was basically worthless. Plus it cost way more than the official castle audio guide that was actually a handheld audio guide and not some random website that crashed every time you moved. All in all it was a total waste of money and left the whole group more than disappointed. The castle employees told us they get hundreds of visitors complaining the same thing every week. My advice: stay away from third party tour organizers.
While the castle was ok the audio guide was terrible
It was difficult to find the stages and almost impossible to download
There was no structure to the guide
Numbers did t match the sound
We have been to many castles with guides
The well castle in krakow audio guide was excellent as was the one in Ghent
We gave up in the end after paying extra for it
