Cape Town Tourism, the regional tourism organisation of the City of Cape Town, runs 2 visitor experience centres for tourist information: one at City Hall on Darling Street and one at Cape Town International Airport. The City Hall centre opens every day, with shorter hours on Sundays and public holidays, and the airport centre opens from 07:00 to 20:00 every day, public holidays included. Staff at both centres answer questions about Cape Town and take bookings.

In 2026 that rule moves National Women's Day to Monday 10 August, and in 2027 it moves Human Rights Day to Monday 22 March and Day of Goodwill to Monday 27 December. On 15 September 2026 the President declared Wednesday 4 November 2026, the date of the local government elections, a public holiday throughout the country, which brings 2026 to 14 public holiday dates.
