Tourist office Fukuoka
Fukuoka City Tourist Information has 2 centres for visitors: the Hakata Station General Information Center, inside JR Hakata Station, and a centre in Lion Plaza in Tenjin. Both give out brochures on Fukuoka and the rest of Kyushu and offer support in English, Chinese and Korean. The Hakata Station centre helps with sightseeing, transport and accommodation, and the Tenjin centre lends strollers. Another tourist information counter stands on the first floor of the International Terminal Building at Fukuoka Airport.

Fukuoka City Tourist Information (Tenjin)
Location: Lion Plaza, 2-1-1 Tenjin, Chuo-ku, next to Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station
Opening hours: 09:30 to 19:00, closed on 31 December and 1 January
Strollers can be borrowed here, one per family, with registration until 17:30.
ACROS Fukuoka Tourist Information
Location: 1-1-1 Tenjin, Chuo-ku, on the second floor of ACROS Fukuoka
Opening hours: 10:00 to 18:00, closed from 29 December to 3 January
Not run by Fukuoka City Tourist Information: it belongs to the ACROS Fukuoka Foundation, and its pamphlets cover Kyushu, Yamaguchi and Okinawa in four languages.
Hakata Port International Terminal general information desk
Location: 14-1 Okihama-cho, Hakata-ku, on the first floor of the Hakata Port International Terminal
Opening hours: 07:00 to 17:20, which can change with ferry timetables and operating conditions
Not run by Fukuoka City Tourist Information: the desk is part of the terminal, managed by Hakata Port Development, and gives sightseeing and transport information.

For the sights themselves, Tourist Office has a guide to the top things to do in Fukuoka, built around a one-day route from Kushida Shrine and Tochoji through Canal City Hakata, Nakasu and Tenjin to Ohori Park, the Fukuoka Castle ruins and Fukuoka Tower.
Further sights include Dazaifu Tenmangu, teamLab Forest Fukuoka and Nokonoshima Island, and the free ones include Momochi Seaside Park, Hakozakigu Shrine and the Step Garden at ACROS Fukuoka.
