Tourist office Macau
The Macao Government Tourism Office, the public entity responsible for tourism policy in the Macao SAR, runs 6 tourist information counters in Macau: at the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal, the Border Gate, Macau International Airport, the Taipa Ferry Terminal, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Frontier Post at Macao Port and the Qingmao Port.
Each counter opens Monday to Sunday from 09:00 to 20:00 and provides travel information, leaflets and answers to enquiries. The same office keeps one more counter in Central, Hong Kong.

National and local holidays in Macau
On a public holiday, offices, museums and transport in Macau may close or switch to holiday hours. The Macao SAR Government sets 20 public holidays for 2026 and 20 for 2027. They run from Chinese festivals such as Lunar New Year, Cheng Ming Festival and Chong Yeung Festival to Christian feast days such as Good Friday, All Soul's Day and Christmas Day, and include Macao S.A.R. Establishment Day on 20 December. Lunar New Year and Easter move, so those dates differ between the two years, while Cheng Ming Festival on 5 April and Labour Day on 1 May fall on the same date in both. National Day of the People's Republic of China is on 1 October, followed by a second holiday on 2 October, in both years.
