Tourist office Miami
The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB), the destination marketing organisation for Greater Miami and Miami Beach, hosts the Official Welcome and Visitor Center for Miami and the Beaches at its office in the heart of Miami's business district, open Monday to Friday. It names 18 more visitor centres across Miami-Dade County, run by other organisations. Four are staffed desks in Miami Beach, Coral Gables and at the airport: the Art Deco Welcome Center on Ocean Drive, the Miami Beach Visitor Center, the Coral Gables Visitor Center and the Miami International Airport Tourist Information Counters. With the GMCVB's centre, that gives 5 walk-in points.

Run by the Miami Design Preservation League, a non-profit: brochures, event guides and a concierge for hotel and tour bookings.
Miami Beach Visitor Center

Opening hours: Tuesday to Saturday 10:00 to 16:00
Run by the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce, whose welcome centre gives recommendations on dining in Miami Beach.
Miami International Airport Tourist Information Counters
Location: main counter at Central Terminal E, Level 2, near the airport's hotel, with counters throughout terminals D, E, H and J
Opening hours: daily 06:00 to 22:00
Run by the Miami-Dade Aviation Department: multilingual airport and tourist information, and interpreting and translation.
Coral Gables Visitor Center
Location: inside the Coral Gables Museum, 285 Aragon Avenue, Coral Gables
Opening hours: Tuesday to Friday and Sunday 09:00 to 17:00, Saturday 09:00 to 18:00, except on major holidays

The Miami guide on Tourist Office sets out how to visit Miami in one place, starting with a one day route along the waterfront from the Miami Riverwalk and Bayfront Park through Bayside Marketplace to the Freedom Tower, the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science and the Pérez Art Museum Miami.
It then ranks the sights worth the time, from South Beach and the Art Deco District to Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, Wynwood Walls and Venetian Pool, picks out free places such as Wynwood's street murals, Little Havana and the Holocaust Memorial, and lists the concerts and games coming up.
Public holidays in Miami to plan around
On a public holiday, offices, museums and transport in Miami may close or switch to holiday hours. Three sources set the days. The 11 federal holidays under 5 U.S.C. 6103 apply to federal offices. Miami-Dade County publishes its own 2026 list of 13 days when all County offices, libraries included, are closed: the same 11 dates plus Law Enforcement Appreciation Day on 8 May and the Friday after Thanksgiving on 27 November. Florida Statutes section 683.01 names further legal holidays, such as Pascua Florida Day on 2 April, that are not on the county list.

Miami-Dade County bus, Metrorail and Metromover run their normal schedules on holidays, except on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, when they run a Sunday schedule. The GMCVB's centre closes on legal holidays, the Art Deco Welcome Center closes on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day, and the Coral Gables Visitor Center keeps its hours except on major holidays.
