Niagara Falls Tourism, the official destination marketing organisation of the City of Niagara Falls, keeps no walk-in tourist office of its own and shares its visitor information online. The Ontario Travel Information Centre in the city no longer appears among the in-person centres of Destination Ontario either, so Niagara Falls has no dedicated tourist centre. Help on the ground comes from the 4 Welcome Centres listed below, run by Niagara Parks, the Ontario government agency that looks after the parkland beside the falls. The Niagara Falls guide on Tourist Office sets out what to see in Niagara Falls on the Canadian side: a first day that starts at the Niagara Parks Power Station, takes in the Horseshoe Falls from Table Rock and the tunnels of Journey Behind the Falls, then rises to the Skylon Tower before ending among the lights of Clifton Hill and the Niagara SkyWheel.

Offices, banks, shops and attractions may close or switch to holiday hours, and transport timetables can change, so a day built around a single errand or attraction is worth checking in advance. In Ontario the Employment Standards Act, 2000 fixes 9 public holidays. In 2026 they fall on the dates below; two of them, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, come back to back at the end of December.

Local holidays in Niagara Falls 2026
Niagara Falls adds no local holidays to the Ontario list. Public holidays in the province are set by the Employment Standards Act, 2000, and none of them is specific to the city.
The Civic Holiday, on 3 August in 2026, is not an Ontario public holiday either: the Government of Ontario notes that employers are not required under the Act to give the first Monday in August, Easter Sunday, Easter Monday or Remembrance Day as a holiday, although some do. Two dates are general holidays under the federal Canada Labour Code without being Ontario public holidays: the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on 30 September and Remembrance Day on 11 November.
Niagara Parks points out that each of its attractions, restaurants and shops keeps its own hours through the year and that all hours are subject to change, so they are worth checking before a holiday weekend.
