Osaka tourist center
Osaka City lists 3 official tourist information centres, and the Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau, the official tourism organisation for Osaka Prefecture and Osaka City, publishes them on its OSAKA-INFO site. Each tourist center sits in a major railway station: Tourist Information OSAKA at JR Osaka Station, Tourist Information NAMBA at Nankai Namba Station and Tourist Information SHIN-OSAKA at JR Shin-Osaka Station. All 3 open every day of the year, with staff speaking English, Chinese and Korean.
The bureau's online directory also names 35 other information points across the prefecture, most of them in other towns or run by transport companies and shops; they are not counted here.

Opening hours: 07:00 to 22:00, open year-round

Tourist Information NAMBA at Nankai Namba Station
Location: Nankai Namba Station, 1st floor, in front of the north exit, 5-1-60 Namba, Chuo-ku; 2 minutes from Exit 4 of Osaka Metro Namba Station
Opening hours: 09:00 to 20:00, open year-round
The tourist center for the Minami area, easily reached from Kansai International Airport; staff speak English, Chinese and Korean.
Tourist Information SHIN-OSAKA at JR Shin-Osaka Station
Location: Travel Service Center Shin-Osaka, 3rd floor concourse of JR Shin-Osaka Station, opposite the Shinkansen Central Exit, 5-16-1 Nishinakajima, Yodogawa-ku
Opening hours: 08:00 to 22:00, open year-round

National and local holidays in Osaka
Public holidays shape a visit to Osaka more than many travellers expect. The counters of Osaka City Hall close on them, museums and attractions may switch to holiday hours or closing days, and popular sights can be busier than usual. Japan's Act on National Holidays sets one calendar for the whole country, and the Cabinet Office lists 18 days off for 2026: 16 national holidays plus 2 further public holidays created by the Act's own rules, one because Constitution Memorial Day falls on a Sunday and one because a weekday sits between two national holidays. In 2026 they form two runs of five days off in a row, from Saturday 2 May to Wednesday 6 May and from Saturday 19 September to Wednesday 23 September.

Local holidays in Osaka 2026
Osaka adds no local holidays to the national calendar. Public holidays in Japan are those defined by the Act on National Holidays, and Osaka City lists no day of its own: the counters of Osaka City Hall close on Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays and from 29 December to 3 January.
The 3 official tourist information centres at Osaka, Namba and Shin-Osaka stations are open year-round, according to Osaka City, so they keep their usual hours on public holidays.
