Local holidays in Le Mont-Saint-Michel 2026
Le Mont-Saint-Michel has no local public holiday on top of the national calendar, and neither Normandy nor the Manche adds a regional one. The only extra days in mainland France, Good Friday on 3 April and 26 December, apply to Alsace and Moselle alone.
The tourist information office on the Grande Rue closes on 25 December and 1 January, and the tourist office warns that opening hours may be exceptionally modified on public holidays. Every office in the network also closes on Thursday mornings from October to March, outside French school holidays. The Centre d'Information Touristique by the car parks keeps the same two closing days, while the abbey, run by the Centre des monuments nationaux, closes on 1 January, 1 May and 25 December.
