Liverpool City Council runs the official visitor welcome for the city, and it keeps 1 dedicated visitor welcome centre. That centre opened in April 2026 at Pier Head on the waterfront, a location the council describes as a temporary base while a permanent centre is prepared at the Gerry Marsden Ferry Terminal. The council team hands out free city maps, gives transport and accommodation advice, sells tour and attraction tickets and stocks Liverpool souvenirs. A second information centre inside the Liverpool ONE shopping estate, staffed by its own guest services team, is listed below as well.

Liverpool adds no local holidays to that calendar.
